How to achieve the perfect brows

Everybody wants to achieve the perfect eyebrows. Eyebrows shape the face adding dimension but after years of over plucking my eyebrows were looking more like Bart Simpsons then Zendaya’s. Here are a list of easy homemade recipes guaranteed to make you’re eyebrows long and thick from the comfort of your own home.

My first tip is probably the most important DO NOT over pluck trust me coming from my own experiences put the tweezers down. If you feel you’re own eyebrows are a tad short let them grow out for approximately three to four months then go to a trusted eyebrow waxing parlor. I would avoid using the at home waxing kits until you are confident that you won’t wax off half your brow. Remember eyebrows take time don’t expect luscious full brows overnight.

COCONUT OIL

It’s fair to say coconut oil is a must have secret ingredient to add to every beauty routine this is how coconut oil helps boost eyebrow hair growth.

  1. Put a few drops of warm coconut oil on your fingertips and apply it on your eyebrows.

  2. Massage gently for a few minutes to boost blood circulation.

  3. Leave it on overnight.

  4. The next morning, rinse it off with warm water.

  5. Do this daily for 1 to 2 months to notice changes in the thickness of your eyebrows.

Olive oil is another secret beauty ingredient. Olive Oil helps brow hair grow thicker and faster and helps keeps brows natural tint.

  • Massage your eyebrows with warm olive oil for 5 minutes before going to bed. Leave it on overnight, then rinse it off with warm water the next morning.

  • Alternatively, prepare a mixture with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and a few drops of honey. Apply it on your eyebrows and massage for a few minutes. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

Follow either of these remedies once daily until you get the desired results.

Growing thicker eyebrows with Vaseline

Celebs like Marilyn Monroe all used Vaseline to help encourage hair growth and to keep skin seriously smooth and soft in order to achieve good brows you will need a healthy hydrated base. Vaseline is known to create a sealing barrier, this jelly also locks in moisture to help speed up your skin’s natural recovery process. Apply a generous amount of Vaseline to your fingertip and message gently leave it on overnight before rinsing the next morning

Filling in your eyebrows

When it comes to Filling in eyebrows I have done it all trust me block brows where all the range in second year. What I have learned is less is more finding the right colour of your brows is key filling in the natural shape of your brows is also a good tip. My favorite way to fill in my brows is by pencil and the Pennys brow wiz is a firm favorite of mine. I’m also a fan of pomades for me powders have never really worked but everyone’s brows are different and it’s whatever works for you. My favorite pomade is the Anastasia dip brow, the Rimmel brow wow and the Benefit Ka-brow my favorite brush to use my in my brows is an angled brush from Anastasia but I have also found that an angled eyeliner brush works as well, And I found one from Eco tools.

Filling the brow in. The easiest way for me to fill in my brow is to use a pencil trick.

Take a spooly and brush upwards on the brow using the pencil trick start creating the shape of the brows using light strokes to mimic real  hair  don’t go to heavy with the product the idea is to make them look as natural as possible. Work from the middle. Apply the most amount of product to the middle of the brow to define or create an arch. Don’t bring the arch too far upwards or you will look permanently surprised, then using whatever is left on the brush to the top of the brow and to create a tail. Using minimal amount of product is really important when working on the top part of the eyebrow the block brow is not a good look. I like following the natural tail of my brow only making it slightly longer, by using the pencil trick you should see where the natural tail of your brow should end. Droopy brows are also not a hit so don’t bring them down too far again it’s all about following the natural shape of the brow. Using the spooly blend the product so that there are no unnatural looking dark patches. For me it doesn’t matter if my eyebrows look a bit messy we can clean it up with concealer. Take a bit of concealer and put it on the back of your hand take a flat concealer brush and begin to carve out the brow this for me defines the arch and tail. Blend the cancealer above and below the eye to define its shape. Concealer isn’t a must it’s whatever works best for you. After I finish I will always set my brow with brow mascara this will help the brow keep its shape and make them appear thicker. Remember eyebrows are sisters not twins and sometimes mine aren’t even related.
